Overview
This programme aims to raise secondary school students’ awareness about biomedical sciences and how microbiome and related research can benefit the human mankind. Students will engage in a 3-week interactive bioscience programme, where we will provide them with more in-depth knowledge of the subject.

Eligibility
-
Hong Kong permanent residents
-
Secondary students interested in Health Science, Biotechnology, Healthcare/Policy and Social Science, aged 15 or above

Good knowledge of application software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing
-
Available for the Full-Time programme during the training period
-
Pro-active, enjoy working with people and possess strong communication skills
-
Able to communicate effectively, embrace changes and overcome challenges
-
Have strong desire to learn and resolve problems in new ways
-
Proficient in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is also preferred)

Programme Structure
Our students will be able to learn knowledge on microbiome by attending customised activities such as hands-on laboratory sessions and exposure to clinical research. They will be assigned to complete a group presentation on a given topic related to healthcare and community during the period.
